Starting February 14th, Bali will introduce a new tourism tax to tackle traffic and waste management issues. Visitors, including those from ASEAN countries, will pay IDR 150,000 (₹791.42), with an additional IDR 500,000 for a 30-day visa. Island-hoppers will pay the tax upon returning to Bali, excluding trips to nearby islands like Nusa Penida. The aim is to address environmental challenges, with hopes for online payments to streamline the process.
