Auckland’s City Rail Link is opening with twin tunnels and new stations, creating faster and more frequent connections across central Auckland. The new Te Waihorotiu and Karanga-a-Hape stations improve access to dining, shopping, cultural and entertainment areas, while Waitematā becomes a through station. From September 13, 2026, the network will make it easier for visitors to explore the city, strengthening public transport and improving the urban travel experience.
