Antara Cruises plans to invest more than INR 500 crore over five years to expand luxury river cruising on Assam’s Brahmaputra. The investment will fund four new cruise vessels, tourism infrastructure and wider ecosystem development. The project aligns with India’s Cruise Bharat Mission and aims to increase high-value tourism, create employment and establish Assam as a leading luxury river-cruise destination. The expansion could significantly broaden experiential tourism opportunities across Northeast India’s waterways and communities.
