Amritsar airport has been inaugurated as North India’s international gateway. Civil Aviation Minister launched the new hub-and-spoke flight connectivity model, connecting Amritsar with Delhi. This initiative allows international travelers to complete check-in and immigration formalities at Amritsar before their connecting flights, aiming to stimulate Punjab’s economy and tourism. The strategy is part of a larger plan to develop four major hubs and forty spokes across India’s aviation infrastructure.
