Air India has announced a major international route rationalisation strategy through August 2026 aimed at improving operational efficiency, fleet utilisation and passenger experience. Despite restructuring selected routes, the airline confirmed it will continue operating more than 1,200 international flights every month across its global network. Industry experts believe the move will strengthen Air India’s competitiveness, sustainability goals and long-term international expansion plans.
