Air India has announced it will operate from the new Terminal 6 (JFK T6) at John F. Kennedy International Airport, beginning in 2028. This move will place the airline alongside other Star Alliance members within the new terminal. The airline will also launch its first flagship Maharaja Lounge at JFK T6, spanning 9,100 square feet. Terminal 6 is part of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey’s $19 billion airport transformation, with the first gates opening in 2026 and full completion by 2028. Air India’s current operations at Terminal 4 will continue until the transition.
