Starting May 1, 2025, Salzburg, Austria, will introduce the ‘Guest Mobility Ticket,’ offering tourists free access to the region’s public transport. This eco-friendly initiative covers buses, trains, and shuttles, reducing congestion and environmental impact. Visitors staying overnight will receive the ticket upon check-in, valid for their stay. Funded through a mobility fee linked to Salzburg’s accommodation tax, the fee will rise from €0.50 to €1.10 per night by 2027 to ensure the program’s sustainability.
