With improved weather, the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway partially reopened for light motor vehicles (LMVs) on Friday, officials said. Passenger vehicles are allowed from both sides, with heavy motor vehicles (HMVs) to follow soon. Commuters must follow lane discipline to avoid congestion and penalties under the MV Act. The SSG Road, Bhaderwah-Chamba Road, Mughal Road, and Sinthan Road remain closed. The highway was blocked Thursday due to rain and snowfall in Ramban-Banihal-Qazigund sectors but has now resumed operations.
