Fort Kochi will be declared a green tourism destination by March 31. Plans include improving waste collection, installing more bins, enhancing toilet facilities, and reducing plastic use. Awareness campaigns, clean-up programs, and health squad inspections will be strengthened. Strict action will be taken against illegal vendors and shops mishandling plastic waste. The initiative aims to make the area more sustainable for the 25,000 to 35,000 daily tourists.
