The Indian Railways plans to manufacture nine more 16-car Vande Bharat sleeper trains by December 2025, following successful trials of the first train. Additionally, the production of 24-car sleeper trains is set to begin by 2026-27. The trains will feature advanced safety measures and offer multiple classes. Indian Railways has also signed contracts with Titagarh-BHEL and Kinet Railway Solutions for the production of these trains.
