India expects to develop its first indigenous civilian aircraft within two years through a joint venture, Civil Aviation Minister K. Rammohan Naidu said. The government is also discussing high aviation turbine fuel prices with airlines and oil marketing companies. Indian carriers currently have more than 1,600 aircraft on order, while over 100 new airports are expected over the next decade.
