Indian Railways has announced more than 100 special trains to meet rising travel demand during Durga Puja, Diwali and Chhath. The services will connect major destinations across Bihar, West Bengal, Assam, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. Additional coaches are also being added to selected regular trains. The festive services aim to provide more seats and berths, reduce waiting lists and make journeys easier for passengers travelling home.
