Rising oil prices linked to Middle East tensions are increasing fuel costs across airlines, road transport and logistics, putting pressure on industry profit margins. According to the International Air Transport Association, global airline net profits are projected at US$23 billion in 2026, down from US$45 billion in 2025. Higher diesel prices could also affect tour operators, taxis and coaches, potentially leading to increased fares, fuel surcharges and more flexible travel contracts.
