Western Railway is converting the Ahmedabad–Tiruchirappalli weekly special train into a permanent Express service from September 24. The route will connect Gujarat with destinations across Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, including Pune, Chennai, Kumbakonam and Thanjavur. Fixed schedules and regular fares will make long-distance travel easier to plan.
