The former depot on Rigi Kulm now houses a free exhibition around Lok 7, open daily and a natural addition to any programme on the Rigi that works whatever the weather. Built in 1873, Lok 7 is the world’s only operational cogwheel steam locomotive with a vertical boiler. On selected dates it still climbs the Rigi under steam. The journey is covered by the Swiss Travel Pass, and pairs well with a cruise on Lake Lucerne from Vitznau.
