American Airlines is launching a strategic update to its Boeing 777-300ER aircraft fleet. The airline will eliminate first-class cabins to significantly expand business class seating, aiming to satisfy the growing demand for upscale travel experiences. The first retrofitted plane will debut on the New York to Buenos Aires route. The carrier expects to complete these cabin upgrades across all twenty jets by the year 2027.
