Special trains operating between Mumbai and the Konkan region for Ganeshotsav 2026 have recorded an impressive 1,13,428 passenger bookings. This surge in demand has generated INR 7.77 crore in railway revenue. Central Railway is running 200 reserved and 62 unreserved special train trips, while Western Railway will operate 54 reserved trips. With many services filling rapidly, authorities are preparing additional coaches and unreserved services to manage the high volume of festival travelers.
