Manipal Hospitals has partnered with Sarla Aviation and Aeromed International Rescue Services to develop advanced air ambulance services using electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. The collaboration will integrate clinical expertise, eVTOL technology and medical evacuation experience. Plans include designing medical cabins for Sarla’s Shunya aircraft, identifying critical routes and establishing safety protocols, training and transfer procedures. Services will support trauma, heart attacks, strokes, newborn care and organ transplantation.
