Karnataka is developing the Coastal-Malnad Karnataka Tourism Policy 2026 to expand cruise, beach, adventure and community-led tourism across six districts. The policy aims to attract international cruise liners to Mangaluru and other ports, develop Blue Flag beaches, improve visitor facilities and create curated tourism circuits. Officials are also seeking industry input from cruise operators. The strategy is designed to strengthen connectivity, infrastructure, safety and experiences while generating sustainable economic opportunities for coastal communities across Karnataka.
