India has added 11 international ports, nine land ports and two airports for foreign nationals holding electronic visas. The changes increase the total number of airports, seaports and land ports accepting e-visa holders to 88. Travellers from 172 countries can use India’s e-visa system, with electronic visas accounting for about 78 percent of visas issued. The expansion improves entry accessibility, broadens destination options and supports India’s efforts to streamline international tourism.
