Ladakh’s Nubra Valley could get direct civilian flights from Thoise Airport by December 2026 as runway upgrades and preparations for a civil terminal advance. The Indian Air Force has approved five acres for the new terminal, while an existing charter terminal could support initial operations after refurbishment. The development could make Turtuk, Nubra and nearby high-altitude attractions easier for travellers to access.
