Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma has inaugurated the Pine Home, a new tourism facility in Mawlangwir village, South West Khasi Hills. This eco-sustainable project, costing approximately ₹5.90 crore, includes guest rooms, a restaurant, community hall, conference spaces, and a Tourism Information Centre. Additionally, Sangma remotely launched the Twahlongwar Open-Air Museum in Mawsynram. This museum preserves an early Khasi settlement featuring over 20 structures, megaliths, an old market, and an iron furnace, with ₹63 lakh sanctioned for its infrastructure and research.
