Cambodia is reviewing its pilot visa exemption for Chinese nationals, introduced to boost tourism during Cambodia-China Tourism Year 2026. Early results show Chinese visitor ticket purchases at Angkor Archaeological Park rose 13.23% between June 15 and August 12 compared with 2025. The temporary visa waiver, now extended until October 15, aims to strengthen Cambodia-China tourism ties, attract travelers and investors, and support the hospitality sector’s recovery.
