The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has granted Boeing an amended type certificate for the 737 MAX 7, clearing the aircraft for commercial operations after nearly a decade of delays. The approval follows extensive testing and required safety upgrades, including improvements to flight-control software and engine systems. Boeing and launch customer Southwest Airlines are now preparing for the aircraft’s first commercial deliveries.
