Türkiye is experiencing a surge in cruise tourism, becoming a key destination due to security concerns in the Middle East prompting itinerary reroutes. Istanbul is strengthening its position as an embarkation port, while Kuşadası and İzmir are gaining popularity. In the first half of 2026, Turkish ports welcomed 756,455 cruise passengers, the highest in 16 years, with 488 ship calls.
