The Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport in Bhogapuram, Andhra Pradesh, is scheduled to begin commercial flight services on August 17. Inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the greenfield airport, developed by GMR Visakhapatnam International Airport Ltd under a Public-Private Partnership, will initially accommodate six million passengers annually. Spanning over 2,200 acres, the airport is anticipated to serve as a vital gateway for India’s eastern corridor, fostering investment and regional prosperity.
