Indian travellers may soon be able to make payments in Spain using UPI as India and Spain begin technical discussions to link UPI with Spain’s Bizum payment platform. If implemented, visitors could pay at shops, restaurants and other businesses using their existing UPI apps without needing a local payment service. The initiative aims to make travel more convenient and support stronger digital cooperation between both countries.
