Indian Railways has approved a Rs 755 crore project for a 42 km third railway line between Champa and Korba, under the South East Central Railway (SECR) zone. This initiative is designed to significantly improve India’s busiest coal transport routes and accommodate a higher volume of freight trains. The project aims to support increased freight movement, allow for additional passenger trains, and is expected to generate substantial annual net earnings, while also reducing operational delays.
