India and Nepal have accelerated discussions on strengthening rail connectivity, including a proposed passenger train service between Janakpur and Ayodhya, two major religious destinations. The countries also reviewed progress on the Raxaul–Kathmandu railway project and other cross-border initiatives. The enhanced rail network is expected to boost pilgrimage tourism, improve regional mobility, and deepen economic and cultural ties between the neighbouring nations.
