Indian Railways is preparing to test its first indigenous hydrogen-powered train, marking a major step toward cleaner and more sustainable transportation. The train uses hydrogen fuel cell technology to generate electricity, producing only water vapour during operation. Designed for Indian conditions, the project is expected to support greener rail travel, reduce emissions, and strengthen the country’s push toward next-generation mobility solutions.
