India’s Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has updated its Visa Manual, eliminating the redundant Prior Reference Category (PRC) clearance for foreign nationals already cleared through the Security Clearance Portal (SCP). This streamlines the approval process for visitors from countries including Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Sudan, and China. The manual also now covers visa extensions, conversions, and allows multiple entries on various e-Visas, which are currently available to citizens of 172 countries.
