India’s first Vande Bharat sleeper train is transforming overnight rail travel with a new service connecting Kolkata and Guwahati in nearly 14 hours. The train features modern sleeper coaches, cleaner washrooms, quieter rides, charging ports and upgraded passenger comfort aimed at domestic and business travellers. The new route is also expected to improve tourism access to destinations like Darjeeling, Shillong and Northeast India.
