VietJet will launch direct flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Colombo from August 2026, strengthening tourism and aviation ties between Vietnam, Sri Lanka and India. The new four-times-weekly service is expected to support leisure travel, MICE tourism and multi-country Asian itineraries while improving regional connectivity across South and Southeast Asia. Industry experts believe the route could further boost tourism demand and trade partnerships across the region.
