India has approved major railway expansion projects spanning more than 900 kilometres across Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to strengthen passenger and tourism connectivity. The multi-tracking projects aim to reduce congestion, improve travel efficiency and enhance access to cultural, religious and wildlife destinations while supporting faster, smoother and more sustainable rail travel across key regional corridors.
