Northern Railway has added an extra sleeper coach to the Kolkata-Jammu Tawi Express from April to July 2026 to manage rising summer pilgrimage demand for Vaishno Devi. The move aims to reduce waiting lists, improve passenger comfort, and ease overcrowding during peak travel season. The initiative strengthens rail connectivity for religious tourism and long-distance travellers.
