Odisha’s rail network is set for a major upgrade with approval of a four-track corridor on the strategic Howrah–Chennai route. The project will ease congestion, improve passenger movement, and enhance freight efficiency across key districts. With better connectivity and stronger logistics networks, the development is expected to drive economic growth and modernise transport infrastructure across eastern India.
