Air India has initiated its wide-body fleet upgrade with the induction of a refurbished Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, part of a $400 million modernization programme. The upgrades include premium economy cabins, new seating systems and enhanced in-flight entertainment, aimed at improving long-haul travel experience. The move is expected to strengthen connectivity between India and key markets such as the United States, United Kingdom and Europe while boosting airline competitiveness.
