Vietnam Airlines has signed an agreement to purchase up to 50 Boeing 737-8 aircraft, valued at US$8.1 billion at list prices, with deliveries scheduled between 2030 and 2032. The narrow-body jets will replace older aircraft, cut fuel burn by around 14%, and strengthen domestic and regional routes as Southeast Asia’s travel demand accelerates.
