The UK Government has backed plans for a permanent two-hourly direct rail service between Swindon and Oxford. Supported by Rail Minister Lord Peter Hendy, the proposal follows a successful GWR trial and aims to improve regional connectivity, reduce road congestion, and support economic growth across the Thames Valley.
