India has reduced the Tax Collected at Source on overseas tour packages to a flat 2 percent under Budget 2026, down from the earlier 20 percent rate. The change lowers upfront travel costs for leisure and corporate travellers while simplifying reimbursement for businesses. Travel industry bodies say the move is expected to revive international bookings and restore significant lost outbound travel demand.
