Germany has joined a European Active Tourism Coalition alongside France, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom to promote sustainable travel. The coalition advocates cycling, walking, and hiking as core tourism strategies to reduce environmental impact, manage over-tourism, and support regional economies across Europe.
