Mount Rigi Railways has announced the addition of four new rack-and-pinion trains to improve access to Mount Rigi in central Switzerland. Supplied by Stadler, the trains will operate on the Goldau to Rigi Kulm route, increasing capacity and easing congestion during peak seasons. The upgrade enhances comfort, safety, and sustainability, supporting Switzerland’s growing mountain tourism while making travel to the “Queen of the Mountains” smoother for visitors.
