Andhra Pradesh has launched tourist caravans for the first time, introducing a luxury road travel experience across the state. The initiative is implemented under the supervision of the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation, with operations currently managed by empanelled private operators. Initially, four fully equipped caravans have been deployed on curated routes connecting destinations such as Visakhapatnam, Araku, Lambasingi, Gandikota, and Suryalanka. The programme aims to improve connectivity, promote niche tourism, and expand high-end travel options for domestic and international visitors.
