Ghana’s domestic tourism has reached record levels, with over 15 million trips generating GH₵6.6 billion, boosting transportation, hospitality, and local businesses. Overnight stays contributed GH₵4.8 billion, while day trips added GH₵1.8 billion. Social and cultural motivations drive travel, especially visits to friends, relatives, and cultural events. The 25–44 age group leads the market, supporting future tourism planning and infrastructure development. Domestic tourism is revitalizing the economy and fostering national pride.
