FlixTrain is expanding capacity across Germany by ordering 65 fully electric high-speed trains for delivery by 2028, capable of 230 km/h. Siemens will supply locomotives and Talgo the carriages. The operator will also double its fleet with refurbished trains from 2026, improve accessibility, cut emissions, increase service frequency, and roll out a broader nationwide network connecting major German cities.
