Cape Winelands Airport, located near Durbanville, is set for a R7–10 billion transformation into Cape Town’s second international gateway by 2028. The project includes new terminals, cargo facilities, hotels, and extended runways, easing congestion at Cape Town International. Expected to boost tourism, trade, and agri-business, the modern, sustainable airport will attract global airlines and investors, strengthening the Western Cape’s connectivity while driving economic growth and creating new opportunities across the region.
