Alstom’s Aventra Class 730/0 fleet has carried over 12 million passengers in its first year on Birmingham’s Cross-City Line. Introduced in March 2024 and fully rolled out by September, the electric trains serve routes from Lichfield to Bromsgrove and Redditch via Birmingham New Street. Passenger satisfaction has risen 19% since launch, with the milestone also recognised at the National Rail Awards, highlighting Alstom’s role in advancing sustainable and reliable UK rail travel.
