At the Belt and Road Summit, Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) signed agreements with Shymkent Airport in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan Airports JSC, strengthening its global aviation role. The partnerships will boost East Asia–Central Asia connectivity, expand flight networks, and support cargo growth. Beyond routes, the cooperation includes training, innovation, and sustainability initiatives. These agreements reaffirm Hong Kong’s position as a leading aviation hub, fostering long-term collaboration and growth across the Belt and Road region.
