Vietnam will introduce several new train routes in 2026, transforming domestic travel and boosting tourism. The highlight is the North-South High-Speed Railway, which will cut Hà Nội–Hồ Chí Minh City journeys from over 30 hours to just six. Other major projects include the Lao Cai–Hà Nội–Hải Phòng railway and the Thủ Thiêm–Long Thành light rail linking Hồ Chí Minh City to its new airport.
