Malaysia, Brunei, and Indonesia are advancing the Trans-Borneo High-Speed Rail—a $70 billion project linking Sabah, Sarawak, Brunei, and Kalimantan. Covering 1,600 kilometers, the futuristic trains will reach speeds of 350 km/h, slashing travel times and creating new hubs for trade, tourism, and connectivity. Feasibility studies are underway, with governments aiming for a cross-border corridor that boosts jobs, unites economies, and turns Borneo into Southeast Asia’s newest high-speed travel circuit.
